Nowadays, USB devices are the most used storage media. This program detects when you connect a USB device to your system and can launch a preset script. Thus, you can set the program to launch an application or to perform an action every time you connect your USB device. But the real advantage is that if you have multiple USB devices, such as a cell phone, an iPod, an MP3 player, a USB memory stick, and so on, you can set the program to activate a different application or to perform a different process with each device, since the program can detect and store their volume labels. This way, you can automatically upload the songs you just purchased to your MP3 player, sync your documents with your USB memory stick, update your cellphone's contact list - all of this without having to run any specific program manually.
Probably the only disadvantage of the program is that you need to know how to create scripts, and thus it is not for inexperienced users. The program is free for home use; if you are a corporate user, you will need to pay a $40 license.
